Overview

Benhill English School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The general objectives of CBSE are to provide students with a balanced education to facilitate geographic and cultural mobility through a shared academic experience. Subjects are studied concurrently and students are exposed to the two great traditions of learning – the humanities and the sciences.Benhill English School, we emphasize on close integration of online and off-line learning. Computers augment off-line learning but are not substitutes. Students have instant access to information through a well stocked library and digital hookups with internet and online libraries. Opportunities for creative learning are the touch stone of the schools IT curriculum.

Evaluation And Promotion

Examinations are indespensable part of the educational process as some form of assesment is necessary to determines the effectiveness of teaching-learning processand their internalization by learners. for Evaluation and promotion Benhil English School follows the updated CBSE system of continuous and comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) CCE refers to asystem of school-based evaluation that covers all the aspects of a student's development. It emphasizes on continuity in evaluation and assesment of board based learning and behavioural outcomes.

Formative Assessment

It is used to monitor learning progress during instruction and to provide continuous feedback to both pupil and teachers concerning learning success and failures. It include assesment of paper-pencil/pen test,assignments projects,class works,home work,practical work etc.Benhil English School Conducts for its students four Formative Assessments in an academic year.

Summative Assessment

The evaluation conducted at the end of instructional segment is called summative evaluation.Benhil English School conductstwo summative Assessments in an academic year that is in,September and in March.For Std I to V ,worksheets,written and oral class test and activities are taken into consideration for grading.promotion is based on the mark score for entire year.For Std VI to Std X, two semester exams known as Summative Assessments and formative Assesments are conducted.Promotion is based the marks scored for the above assessments.For Std. XI and Std XII,students have to pass separately in theory and practical.Request for re-tabulation/re-evaluation of answer paper should be done within seven days after the publication of results,with the permission of required fee.
